Implementation Timeline
FIRST
Weeks 1-2
Work through the four strand reviews (Cell Structures, Functions & Processes, Mechanisms of Genetics, Interdependence within Environmental Systems, and Biological Evolution) — one strand per every 2–3 days, using the detailed explanations to address gaps immediately after each section.
SECOND
Week 3
Assign the full-length practice exam (Google Form for instant data, or printable for test-taking practice). Review answers as a class using the detailed answer key to reinforce understanding of missed concepts.
THIRD
Week 4
Use the 20 writing prompts for constructed response practice — target the strands where performance data showed the most gaps. Layer in anchoring phenomena or lab stations for any strand needing deeper reinforcement before test day.
FINALLY
Take the Test
Your students will complete the official exam on their own. By using intentional review, you will provide your students a better opportunity to demonstrate mastery.
